My Museum #2

Don't you hate it when the Louvre gets it before you do?

  1. Okay, do you remember that photo I have of that elderly woman in a chair with the lamp behind her? I said that I thought the lamp was about to turn her into a pod person? I rest my case.

  2. That's peculiar looking, but I don't know what it is or where it is. Robert, is that a photo you took?

  3. Yes, I did take the photo. It's an African sculpture, an abstracted female form, in the tiny and remote display of ethnographic art at the Louvre. I don't know which tribal entity made it. President Chirac sort of forced the Louvre to show "primitive art," against their objections. It's in association with the Museum quai Branly, and has superb objects.
