I'm thinking this is possibly another shot of the Hole in the Wall Gang all sitting in front of Etta Place's front porch. That is Butch in the middle, isn't it?
I'm not sure Butch was cut out for honest work like house-painting. He'd probably try the Tom Sawyer approach, with charm.
